Is your backyard just a plain old slab of concrete with some grass? Do you want your backyard to be the epitome of entertainment? Well here are some great ways to maximize your outdoor space and make all your neighbors, relatives, and friends jealous – before you invite them over to enjoy it!
It’s not much fun staying indoors all day just to avoid the heat. Once the day cools down you’ll want to spend some time outside your home. A fun way to do so is with an outdoor movie screen in your own backyard. Once dusk hits, you and your family can enjoy a private viewing of whatever movie you decide to see. No more running on movie theatre’s show times! The movie screen is very easy to make and fun for the whole family. In order to choose what to watch, have everyone write down movie titles on scraps of paper and draw from a hat. You can even invite your neighbors over for movie nights; the more the merrier!
Everyone has a grill to use during the summer months. Step outside the box and get an outdoor pizza oven. Instead of cooking up the typical hot dogs and burgers for your guests, serve them their own specialized pizza. All you have to do is cut up some veggies and meats for toppings, and then let your guests create their own pizza. Soon everyone will be begging for invites to your pizza parties.
If you’re more of a hot dog-type person and an outdoor pizza oven isn’t for you, then you can always consider a fire pit for your backyard. With the fire pit, you’ll be able to roast the hot dogs, make some s’mores, or even just use it to keep you and your guests warm on a chilly summer night. Either way, your backyard will be more fun and you won’t have to wait to go to the beach or camping in order to enjoy a nice night by a bonfire.
Turn your backyard into an adult playground by installing an outdoor bar. It will definitely appeal to your 21 and over guests. Take a bartending class in order to impress them with your cocktail-making skills. Bars can be purchased, built-ins can be ordered, or you may just want to make it yourself. With some DIY bars, a lot of the items you need are laying around your home. By upcycling, you will finally get rid of that extra wood you have or old dresser that’s no longer being used, you know the one you can’t seem to throw out.
