Read to a Dog
K-6 grade kids can read stories to therapy dogs from the community partner Paws of Love on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. The next time will be May 14, 2018, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the High Desert Room at the Corona Public Library. The Library is located at 650 S. Main Street, in Corona.
For young kids, one of the big challenges in learning to read is the embarrassment of making mistakes. Reading to dogs provides a simple solution udgmental, comforting furry friend who “listens” and takes the pressure off a child if he/she stumbles.
