Summer Reading Program
Are you ready for summertime fun at the library? This year’s theme is “Reading by Design” and is inspired by the creativity of authors, illustrators, builders, inventors, artists, architects, and everyone who makes our world a more interesting, livable, accessible, and beautiful place. We hope it inspires you to explore your own creativity and design new worlds for yourself and your community with our reading program.
The Library invites everyone to participate in the annual Summer Reading Program – from infants to teens to adults. Sign up at one of our library locations to track your family’s reading.
The first day you can sign up is at the Biane Library on Friday, June 2, 2017. The Summer Reading Program continues for seven weeks from Saturday, June 3, 2017 – Saturday, July 15, 2017, at either Rancho Cucamonga Library location (Archibald or Biane). Please sign up and report for prizes at only one library location. The last day to sign up is Saturday, July 15th.
Family Summer Reading Program Finale is Saturday, July 29, 2017.
Tickets are earned for registered child and one adult caregiver when all 7 weeks of the Summer Reading Program are completed.
The Library also hosts weekly family-friendly summer performances. Free tickets are distributed each week for shows featuring music, magic, animals, puppets, juggling and a whole lot more.
Last summer over 5,000 children, teens, and adults joined the Summer Reading Program! This year, let’s aim for 6,000! Join us by keeping cool this summer and participating in the “Reading by Design” Summer Reading Program!
