Long Beach Symphony’s Veterans Day Concert
We invite you to join new Music Director Eckart Preu this Veterans Day as Long Beach Symphony pays tribute to all branches of the armed forces with a program of music by American composers, beginning with Copland’s poignant Fanfare for the Common Man. Considered to be the most popular of all 20th-century orchestral work, the Symphony will perform Barber’s Adagio for Strings (1936). We will recognize all branches of the armed forces – and all veterans in attendance – with Bob Lowden’s medley Salute to the Armed Forces. Our integrated American society will be celebrated with William Grant Still’s jazz inspired Symphony #2, G minor, Song of a New Race (1937).
Tickets range from $26.00 to $92.00 and can be purchased here.
The Long Beach Symphony is located at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, Terrace Theater, 300 E. Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach.
