Volunteer Orientation for Library and Recreation
To volunteer for Library & Recreation Services, you will need to attend a Volunteer Orientation, held monthly at the Library on the third Monday evenings, promptly at 7:00 p.m., in the Belle Street Community Room. Volunteers must be age 12 and up. The next orientation will be March 16, 2020.
Please call (951) 736-2377 with any questions.
Please follow the links below for descriptions of all of the volunteer opportunities Library and Recreation has for all ages.
ALL prospective volunteers must pass a background check, including those under 18. This process can take 4-6 weeks! If you need to complete school community service credit hours, be sure to plan ahead and come to an orientation far enough in advance.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance to participate in this orientation, please contact the ADA Coordinator at (951) 736-2235. Notification 48 hours prior to the event will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this program.
