The City of Chino Hills is hosting the Scotts® Major League Baseball® Pitch, Hit & Run™ Competition on Sunday, February 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Chino Hills Community Park, 3280 Eucalyptus Drive. Kids between the ages of 7 and 14 are invited to compete in this free event!
Call the field conditions hotline at (909) 3642738 to determine if weather has affected the competition. Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and have their parent or guardian fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the start of competition. Participants may arrive to register any time between 10:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. They will be directed to several activity stations. Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14.
Pitch, Hit & Run™ is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball®. The program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills. The individual winners in the Pitching, Hitting, and Running competitions, and the All-Around Champion in each division age group at the Chino Hills competition will be awarded Champions and advance to the Sectional Level of Competition. Participants have the chance to advance through additional levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals during the 2018 MLB™ All-Star Week®.
