Grow Your Soils – Soils, Compost, and Mulch
The Chino Basin Water Conservation District invites you to attend the free workshop, Grow Your Soils – Soils, Compost, and Mulch, on June 17, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at their office, located at 4594 San Bernardino Street, in Montclair.
At the Grow Your Soils workshop, learn more about:
• How to create compost from yard waste and foodscraps from your kitchen.
• How to create living soils by incorporating compost and mulch into your garden.
• When, why, and how to use inorganic mulches (gravel and rock).
• How to compost food scraps with red worms (vermicomposting).
This class is part of our Transform Your Landscape Series where participants learn the seven steps of creating a WaterWise garden. These classes often have an outdoor or hands-on component to help participants move from understanding key concepts to taking action in their yards and gardens. Anyone can attend.
