Relay For Life

The American Cancer Society and the City of Chino invite the Community to join the Relay For Life 24-hour cancer walk event to help raise money for the fight against cancer.

The Relay for Life event is held the first Saturday and Sunday in August, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5,  and ending at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, Aug. 6th, at Chino Events on August 6, 2017, 14225 Central Avenue, Chino.

All benefits go to cancer research in hope of finding a cure and having more birthdays.  Over 100 teams participate in this great event.

Activities Include:

  • Opening Ceremony
  • Live Bands
  • Ms. Relay, Road to Recovery Cardboard Car Show, Hat Contest
  • Themed & Costumed Laps
  • Luminaria Ceremony
  • Fundraising Raffles
  • and much more.

The event starts with the Survivor’s Lap of Courage, where cancer survivors walk the track alone. As always, the Luminaria Ceremony is the highlight of the event.  All the lights are turned off and participants walk the track with glow sticks for survivors as well as those who have lost their battle to cancer.
