Free Parent Information Forum for Chino Valley Unified School District Parents
Important issues affecting adolescents and teenagers will be among the topics discussed at the CVUSD Parent Information Forum, to be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of Chino Hills High School located at 16150 Pomona Rincon Road. The Parent Forum is free of charge.
Topics for the informative meeting include emerging drug trends, social media risks and concerns, recognizing signs of depression and provisional driver license laws. Brochures and flyers about preventing tobacco use will also be provided. The Parent Forum speakers will be School Resource Officers — law enforcement officers who work every day with students at CVUSD high schools and some junior high school campuses.
While the Parent Forum is geared to parents of sixth- through 12th- graders, it is open to any interested CVUSD parents.
A light dinner of pizza, salad, water and cookies will be offered free of charge beginning at 6:00 p.m. There will also be Spanish translation, and free professionally-supervised childcare in a separate room for children who are potty-trained. Parents are asked not to bring children to the presentation portion of the event because of the mature nature of the topics.
