Are you a food and wine lover with a palate for helping to improve your community? The Chino Hills Wine Walk 2017 returns for its seventh year at The Shoppes at Chino Hills on Saturday, October 14 from 4:00-7:00 PM. The event showcases premier wine with food parings from some of the best Chino Valley restaurants.
Each guest will receive 12 tickets to sample wine and small bites from up to 22 pouring locations in the center court and at various retailers around The Shoppes. New this year will be a small beer garden for those who may not be as much into wine and wish to sample a few local brews. “The event sold out last year at 640 tickets and by adding a couple more locations, we should be able to accommodate 700 guests this year,” said Chino Hills Community Foundation Chair Peter Rogers. “It’s a great evening for people who enjoy food and wine.”
All proceeds from the event benefit the Chino Hills Community Foundation, which is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the city. The proceeds from this Wine Walk will directly benefit a new park in the Los Serranos area of Chino Hills, with the Foundation funding the playground equipment.
More than 30 wines from California and abroad will be paired with restaurants or food providers, including: California Pizza Kitchen, Papachino’s Grill & Greens, The Kickin’ Crab, PF Chang’s, RA Sushi, Pacific Fish Grill, Pick-Up Stix, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Owen’s Bistro, The Corner Bakery, Los Serranos Country Club, Bruxie, The Pub at Chino Hills, Lucille’s Smokehouse, and Oke Poke.
Founded in 2008, the Chino Hills Community Foundation serves as a catalyst and resource for local philanthropy that benefits all citizens of the community in areas such as facilities, education, recreation, the environment, and the arts. Currently, donations to date total approximately $650,000, including kids and family scholarships, hiking trail enhancements, Los Serranos park equipment, the Community Center building interior, and adaptive swings for physically challenged kids.
Purchase your Wine Walk tickets now for $45; the price at the door will be $55. The after-party known as EnCork takes the party into the evening with a full dinner, wine, and silent and live auctions. EnCork tickets are limited and are an additional $60 per person.
