We’re fortunate to live in communities that care deeply about the nonprofits who serve the most vulnerable. And while many of us think of the holidays as a joyful time of year, for some families, particularly this year, it can be a real hardship. Many local charities have reported the effects of COVID-19 will jeopardize services that, during a normal holiday season, would feed, shelter, and assist thousands of vulnerable residents.
Everyone has an important role to play during the holidays. We can find creative ways to give back by donating products or services to frontline workers, and we encourage you to donate money, time, or energy to support local nonprofits during the giving season.
Being able to assist on any level is the most exhilarating part of philanthropy. Our guide is filled with charitable organizations whose day-to-day operations make our communities a brighter place to live. Many of the organizations listed have additional giving opportunities on their websites, so be sure to check them out.
Also note the charities are listed in alphabetical order, not by city or county. We hope you find one that calls out to you, and that you give in a spirit of gratitude.
