Kim Kardashian and Olivia Palermo turned heads last year when they both wore fringe skirts last fall for fashion week. This created a fashion explosion and it became a staple item for many fashionista’s closet.
Kim Kardashian wore a black leather fringe designed by Roberto Cavalli.
Olivia Palermo wore a tan suede fringe designed by Michael Kors.
But it did not stop there! Even before them, Disney’s Pocahontas wore a sweetheart suede tube fringe dress that little girls, like myself, fantasized of wearing with the long straight locks and singing, “Colors of the Wind.”
This inspired me to create my own interpretation on how to transform the fringe skirt in to three different looks.
I paired the YaYa Los Angeles cognac fringe skirt with Rue 21 ombre denim long sleeve shirt, satin purple Jimmy Choo, and a vintage snake clutch. The mood of the Day Look is great for working in the office, going to the grocery store, or when you want to be the center of attention.
Boss Lady Look:
The lovely fringe skirt paired with a Wet Seal colorful tribe print crop top, unknown tailored white blazer, Just Fab gladiator black shoes and a LovCat barrel coral handbag. Imagine wearing this to a fashion convention like BeautyCon, a meeting or even an interview for WestCoast Magazine.
The Yaya fringe skirt, basic white tee, H&M black moto jacket, clear clutch, and my favorite shoes the Manolo Blahnik black suede booties. This look gives the soft fringe a tough girl look with a sexy side. This look would be great to wear if going out for date night or going with the girls to drink cocktails (or “mock”tails since I don’t drink).

About Patricia from Blue Lilly Pad
I was born and raised in the beautiful beaches of Monterey Peninsula and am currently residing in Southern California. During the day I work as a career counselor/young adult advocate for an awesome non-profit company where I help young adults meet their educational goals and connect them to a variety of job opportunities in the IE.
I grew up with a very mature palette, being able to cook delicious somethings out of nothing, and vegetarian at that! On top of that I was always very adventurous with my fashion. Being able to travel to Italy in high school helped broaden my fashion senses. My seven favorite fashion essentials are prints, studs, neutrals, denim, leather, florals and lace. My hope is to be able to bring you food ideas and fashion tips to try out, and please feel free to share your ideas. Please contact me at email@example.com
Blue Lilly Pad Blog is a journey into my three loves: fashion, vegetarian cuisine and letters to encourage you! All three of my gifts and passion all collaborated in one.
