The Basics: Stock up on the basics, like a workout mat, proper shoes, comfortable gym attire (including a great set of socks), a spill-proof water bottle, a set of small dumbbells, and a work out video or exercises you enjoy.
Focus on Form: Many people don’t realize how important form is for any exercise. If done incorrectly or sloppily, you could seriously injure yourself. Don’t focus on how hard you can push yourself. Instead, focus on getting the form down first, before you begin perfecting your exercise execution.
Pick a Spot & Commit: Find an area in your home where you can commit to embracing it as your workout space. Try to only utilize it for workouts.
Switch it Up: Doing the same routine for too long will cause your body to plateau. Try mixing it up with a variety of routines that you can tailor to your ability and taste.
Schedule: It takes a minimum of 21 days to implement a new habit, so it is important to pick a time and stick to it. It’s also a great idea to have two alternate times just in case something comes up in your normal schedule (and you can’t come up with an excuse to avoid it!).
