The Chino Hills culinary event of the year returns on Saturday, October 10 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Shoppes. Premier California wines and local restaurants are the focal point of the 5th Annual Chino Hills Wine Walk, where guests will enjoy an evening out and know they are giving back to the community.
Advanced sale entry is $45 (day-of is $55) and includes 12 tickets to sample wine and small bites at a wine garden in the central courtyard and at numerous retailers throughout The Shoppes. The EnCork after-party takes the evening into the night with a full dinner and live auction. EnCork tickets are limited and are an additional $60 per person.
“We bring in only the best wines and pair them with some of our finest Chino Valley restaurants,” said Chino Hills Community Foundation Chair Peter Rogers. “It’s a great evening for people who enjoy food and wine.”
All proceeds from the event benefit the Chino Hills Community Foundation, which is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the city. The Wine Walk will directly benefit new Foundation projects that include beautifying trails in Chino Hills and purchasing playground equipment for a future park in the Los Serranos neighborhood.
More than 20 wines from California and abroad will be featured with restaurants that include: Bruxie, California Pizza Kitchen, Corner Bakery, Corner Butcher Shop, The Kickin’ Crab, Owen’s Bistro, Papachino’s, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, The Pub at Chino Hills, RA Sushi, Roscoe’s and more.
Founded in 2008, the Chino Hills Community Foundation has awarded about $400,000 to a variety of programs and facilities that benefit all citizens. The Foundation donated $300,000 to furnish the new Community Center and regularly donates to scholarships for low-income children, teens and active seniors participating in city recreation programs. Most recently, the Foundation donated about $3,000 to provide adaptive play swings for children who are physically challenged.
Tickets for the 5th Annual Chino Hills Wine Walk may be purchased online at www.chinohills.org/winewalk or by visiting City Hall, 14000 City Center Drive, or The Shoppes.
