What is an endless summer? We may have to go back to work and the kids to school eventually, but for now – stop. Treasure these memories with friends and family, for what better way to cherish them than through the adventures of life? Enjoy the moment and live in the here and now.
An endless summer is just the beginning. It means chasing the sunset to the beach and having a bonfire under the stars. It’s the little things, like jumping into the pool with your kids on a hot day, and then cooling off with fresh watermelon slices (or maybe some popsicles?) after. It’s the ‘pop!’ of a wine bottle uncorking as you recline next to your spouse and clink glasses before taking a long, satisfying sip.
It’s the last minute decision to go on a road trip. Where? Who cares! As long as you’re in the driver’s seat and you’re making your way down a long strip of highway with your closest friends. It’s a Happy Hour with fresh margaritas and that feeling that just one more is enough to get you to sing the next karaoke song.
An endless summer is the museums and art shows and live theater that satiates your cultural hunger. It’s the emotions that run through you, stirring up sadness, joy, pain and desire. It’s introducing the greatest books to your children, showing them that imagination is not only at their fingertips, but literally endless. It’s their tears and laughter, heartache and happiness, as they explore new playgrounds, meet new friends and run wild through nature.
It’s the nice breeze you feel as the sun fades beyond the horizon and dusk brings to life the beautiful chorus of crickets that extend just beyond your tent. It’s the long hike, the trek, the adventure of climbing a mountain and indulging in a nice cold beer after. To soak in a hot tub and take turns with your spouse massaging each other’s feet…ahhh, isn’t life sweet?
An endless summer begins and ends with you. You are the champion of your own days, your own nights, your own journeys. You create the magic. And it doesn’t need to end when the leaves turn gold and pumpkin spice lattes are on everyone’s minds. No, you are the master of your endless summer, and the key is to always enjoy, always remember, and never take it for granted. Have fun with your endless summer.
